Conversion of a concrete framed B1 office space to three residential apartments

The brief for the project was to convert an office space located over retail units into 3 new rental flats of varying accommodation including a new family sized unit. A number of options were investigated with the client team taking into account planning viability, unit servicing/access to utilities and economic viability.

Detailing and design responded to the requirements of the letting market and the niche requirements of the apartments within the clients portfolio property. The finished flats have a restrained contemporary feel, maximising the impact of materials within the soft tones, clean lines and durable finishes sought by the client.
                                                                 
The client also had particular requirements including the achievement of equivalent to EcoHomes Very Good rating. This was achieved with high levels of air tightness, MVHR and supplementary insulation to all adjacent premises.
