Block of flats extension

The two new flats were formed in a gap between neighbouring buildings and had to be light weight as no new structural

support could be put into the existing ground floor (where a hairdresser continued trading throughout the project).

The Planners insisted that the facade had to be brick to match the existing. We used the Kevington brick system on a timber frame to keep the build up as light weight as possible.

The studio flats were compact and we used furniture to divide off areas whilst maintaining the overall feeling of the space. This made the flats seem much more generous in size.

Area of 3 flats - 140m²
