Mansard extension & lateral conversion
Lateral conversion across three buildings with mansard extension to form 4no new flats

The brief required the lateral conversion of the upper levels of three buildings as well as the extension of two at mansard level.

The project was particularly challenging as ground and basement level were occupied by a bank throughout the duration of the project. Other issues included bringing in new services through the basement area of the bank and ensuring that the laterally converted flats worked well despite the significant floor levels between the buildings.

Unique to this project is a turret on the corner of 4 Marylebone High St which gives each flat a unique viewpoint over Marylebone High St. Sash windows were replaced throughout to compliment the overall traditional styling, and modern kitchens and bathrooms were fitted. Furthermore, an AV system with built in speakers in each room added a technical touch to a traditional finish.
